Thousands of new fragrances are launched every year.

Some will become household names, with adverts gracing our TV screens and become someone’s “new favourite scent.”

And for some, they may slip gently into obscurity.

And, very often, the ones that become firm favourites aren’t necessarily the ones you would imagine.

Why do we look at the new Fine Fragrance Launches?

A major (and very vital) part of many of our roles here at Carvansons is for us to test the brand new scents being launched into the market. By smelling these new scents, we are able to gain an understanding of the trends and fragrance notes picking up traction within the market, support our customers with their new fragrance creations and estimate where the future of fragrance will go next.

Throughout the year, representatives from the sales, marketing and samples teams will smell in excess of 500 brand new fragrances, and if we were to include the total number of fragrances this team will smell during the year, we’d be well into the thousands and beyond.

With this in mind, we thought there was no better time to ask our teams what their favourite Fragrance Launch of 2025 has been.

Here are our Favourite Fragrance Launches of 2025

Miller Harris Melody

Vicki’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Melody by Miller Harris

“My favourite launch of 2025 is Melody by Miller Harris. It’s a floral musk with delicate rose at it’s heart. Gourmand rose musk fragrances are once again having a moment and I am here for it.  This rosy fragrance combines with comforting white musk and deep warmth of cashmere and vanilla.

I love a story to accompany a fragrance and this one has a delighful one. It is inspired by a passage from a novel called Open Water. Melody is said to capture a tender moment when one of the main characters, lost in thought, pulls on his hoodie, only to be enveloped in the lingering scent of his absent love. Here’s the passage if you are interested.

“Waiting for the bus in the darkness, you pull on the hoody. It smells like her: sweet like the torn petal of a flower, sweet like lavender plucked from its stem while in summer bloom.”

SunSong Louis Vuitton

Graham’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Sun Song by Louis Vuitton

“I have always had a soft spot for fragrances with a Neroli direction and this one captures both the luminous heart of neroli and orange blossom but with a soft musk, adding a gentle, lingering warmth.  This unisex citrus fragrance celebrates the radiance of summer and this blends bright, sun-lit notes to evoke warmth, joy, and effortless elegance.

Designed to capture the feeling of sunlight on the skin, Sun Song embodies the carefree spirit and golden glow of long summer days. Definitely what is needed as we approach the darker winter months.”

Steph’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Tilia by Marc-Antione Barrois

“It’s a beautiful sweet and floral perfume. It’s a relatively new fragrance but as soon as I had a smell,  it took me back to summers as a child. Long hot and carefree days. Simple. Solar. Smiling. It is the scent of everlasting summer. Of holidays that never end. It’s already on my Christmas list!”

Amna’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Sugar Addict by Born to Stand Out

“Sugar Addict by BORNTOSTANDOUT is my favourite scent of 2025 because of its irresistibly sweet gourmand profile. It captures the essence of indulgence and perfectly aligns with the trend of 2025; Gourmands. This brand has gone from strength to strength, as have many of the other Korean Perfume brands. The growing popularity in K-perfumes has inspired behind our next fragrance collection. All to be revealed soon.”

Shaun’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Oud Voyager – Tom Ford

“Whilst I love oud fragrances, sometimes they can be too heavy and not always appropriate for every occasion. The floral and citrus top notes found in Oud Voyager make this fragrance slightly lighter and perfect for wearing throughout the day. I can’t get enough of this fragrance at the minute!”

Anthony’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Angel’s Share On the Rocks by Kilian

“One of fragrance highlights of this year was once again supporting the East Lancs Chamber Ball and in so doing creating our Red Velvet candle fragrance which was meant to conjure the impression of the lush velvet red curtains in a theatre. This fragrance was a great success and I love when our work takes in some very creative concepts and inspiration hint at unusual scent directions. But in terms of new launches the one the stands out to me is the fresh forest feel of Le Labo’s – Eucalyptus 20. I do also need to make mention of Kilian’s – Angel’s Share On the Rocks, which totally tunes into the boozy, alcholic trending notes we noted in our annual trends earlier in the year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of these boozy notes in 2026.”

Helen’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Noble Blush by Lattafa

“This is probably going to surprise absolutely no one, but I absolutely adore vanilla scents. The more vanilla the better. As a result, It will be no surprise that my scent of the year is jam packed with vanilla. Rose milk, meringue, almond and vanilla – What’s not to like?

Vanilla has been everywhere this year and I won’t lie, I couldn’t be happier about it! There’s a strong reason to believe that people are gravitating towards these scents as a dopamine hit and as a replacement for sugar in their diet. I’m not sure about all that, but for whatever the reason is, I’m loving it! More Vanilla for 2026, please!

Sara’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Raspberry Ripple by Jo Malone

“I love bright, fresh and tropical scents and I’m keen to see more of these fragrance directions in 2026. Jo Malone’s Raspberry Ripple balances fresh and sweet notes without becoming too sweet. It opens with tropical berries that feel lush, juicy and tangy, giving it a playful brightness while still feeling elegant. The blend makes it an easy, uplifting scent that’s both comforting and refreshingly vibrant.”

Mollie’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Xplicit Vanilla by Mancera

“I’ve been with the team for 6 months now and I have learned a huge amount in that time and one thing I have learnt is that I am a total gourmand girlie! I am responsible for keeping an eye many of the new fine fragrances that are launched and I realised early on, that gourmands have been absolutely everywhere recently.

Xplicit Vanilla by Mancera is luxurious blend of Mexican vanilla and dark chocolate, layered with oud, brown sugar, sandalwood and cedarwood. You got to be honest, it nearly sounds good enough to eat!”

Laura’s Favourite Fragrance of 2025: Ella Ella by Cacharel
